I should also let you know we are very very pleased with our merchant processing. Everything is going so smoothly that I can’t give you any feedback on problem-solving, since we haven’t had any problems.
I just got off the phone with Bill Dumont. I called him to discuss his new Merchant Account Program that he posted about in another section of this forum. I wanted to post here to say how happy I have been with Bill and his service. He has gone out of his way to make sure that everything is and continues to be perfect. For anyone looking at merchant account providers, I would highly recommend Bill.

I’m very impressed with EmerchantDiscount.com Bill Dumont told me we’d be up and running in 3 business days once we submitted the application. I faxed the application yesterday at 2pm and was set-up by and ready to go at 7:30pm last night.

Bill has taken great care of us since we started last May. I have also referred two other people to him who have websites and will continue sending him more. It is hard to find competent personal service like you find with Bill now a day. He is pretty easy to get in touch with too.
I agree — Bill has been excellent to work with. He is very helpful and resolves problems quickly. Setting up my account with him was very easy and he even “talked” me into increasing my monthly sales figures which saved me headaches during the Christmas season.

Thanks to Bill, I was able to set up my account to use with a second store using the osCommerce shopping cart and a USAePay gateway account. He has always answered my questions in a timely manner and resolved any glitches I had. I have a very small niche and he understands that and is still willing to help in any way he can.
I do appreciate the personal customer service he provides which can’t always be measured in dollars and cents.
i’ve just read this thread and I have to agree.
I needed another gateway service, and although another group here now provides that service, through them it is only available if i move my merchant account processing there. i have no desire to do that at this time (my processor actually lowered all of my rates while I was on the phone with them recently to something below what that other group offers), and so i went with the solution that works, and was the best offer for the service i’ve ever seen anywhere.
Bill and WorldNet Group (eMerchant) are a first class operation.
I have to agree with everything stated here about Bill.
When I needed an add-on service, he came through, just like everyone who uses him says he does. Another group here offered the same service for free for members, but when asked how much it was for non-members, i was told: “it’s only available to members”. so saying it’s free to members could be a bit misleading when it’s really only available to them. since i had no intention of changing merchant account providers (this member group provides no better rates than my current provider does), so i couldn’t take advantage at all of the service. thank god Bill was there!
This has been covered about 1,000 times now and the post below also show about his customer service.
To tell you the truth I had a problem with my merchant account through Bill. I even started to doubt him during the problem I was having. To make me feel better he gave me his cell phone # and was working on my problem just before and just after he had surgery done. I even called him after his surgery on his cell phone to leave a message but to my surprise he answered it. He seen my name on the caller ID and that was why he answered it. (To fix my problem) He did not sound very good at all just coming off of “anstegia” (SP) and all but he still talked to me. I think that is all I really need to say. Who else is going to do that????
Some say you can save money with other programs but service means alot to me. I also think Bills new programs will save you even more now from what the links talk about.
I had recent occasion to contact Bill about my account. As always, he responded promptly with the requested info and assistance. He proactively suggested a way to lower my rates, as well. I definitely feel like he’s looking out for the best interests of my business, and not just his.
I am so pleased with Bill; he’s fabulous to work with and definately has taken care of me. I knew nothing about merchant accounts when I started with him and everything has been so smooth. Anytime I have a concern he’s right on top of it. I can’t speak highly enough of his service and of him personally. Bill, you’re the best!
Bill Dumont is very good with his customers and has great rates. Top of the line work. He has answered every question and always been there to help us out. I would deffinitely recomend him for a merchant service.

I’ve been really, really happy with Bill (and Gordon) and the service at eMerchant. Any time there are glitches (like when the processor wanted invoices from two big foreign charges), Bill is on top of it even before I know about it.

Bill is wonderful to work with and his merchant account program is great. The rates are low, the turn around time is very short and he is always there to answer my questions. He even calls ME to see how things are going. (Now, when was the last time Yahoo or Paymenttech did that?) Put it all together and he delivers a super package
I researched several different credit card processors and chose Bill Dumont and eMerchant based on yahoo store owner reviews and have been extremely pleased with his rates, service, honesty and efficiency. Because of our brick and mortar stores, we have become accustomed to bait and switch tactics and credit card offers that are never what they seem, but Bill is the real deal. He does what he says and FAST! Keep up the good work Bill!.

I have used Bill for my client’s stores for two years now. He has always been upfront, personable, and professional. He took the time to help with many situations where he did not really have to.
Bill is a true advocate in every sense of the word. His corporation is an MSO (Master Sales Office) for the banks he represents rather than just a wanna-be credit card peddler referring merchants to another MSO.
I will mention for the record that I don’t get a dime from Bill from referring him here as some have suggested.
I like his service that much and want to see an HONEST company succeed that does not spam the forums or give misinformation.

Bill Dumont has been great to work with. He was right by my side as I opened our store and made sure our transactions were working smoothly. As our store grew and I had questions, all I had to do was call Bill and he had the answer. When we recently sold our store he made sure the proper procedure was in place so not only would the process be transparent to the customer but also resulted in no down time for the store. If I’m ever in the need for another merchant account I will surely call Bill.
I too would like to chime in a few good words about Bill Dumont. I signed my first account up with him back in 2002. When I needed a merchant account for my next site, of course I didn’t even think of trying anyone else. Bill makes the whole process simple and cost effective.
During the holiday season, my sales were 5 x higher than previous months. In 2002 I was sweating after hearing of so many merchants whose funds were being held because of their dramatic sales increases. There was no need to sweat, because I never had a problem.
When I requested that my fees be deducted at month end instead of from each sale, he took care of it immediately and I saw the results within 24 hours.
Besides being a great businessman, Bill just seems like a genuinely nice person.
You know, Yahoo could use a few good guys like Bill!

I have used Bill Dumont with WORLDNET Grp.for over a year and I am very happy with his service, I used Novice and 1st Data before but I never got a good service as good as the service from Bill.
I would recomend him for sure and I have already sent him many customers and they are very happy with his company.

The service level is outstanding and he is more responsive than anyone could ever hope for.
There are some things you really cannot put a price (Or percentage on) and this service is one of them.

I finally made the jump from Paymenttech to Bill’s emerchantdiscount.com this week. Everything has gone without a hitch. After sending in my application, I got the merchant account info back within a few days. Adding this merchant account to the Yahoo store is a very simple process, and was completed 10 minutes after I got the info from Bill. That day, I processed a couple of orders through the new account. A few days later, the correct amount was in my bank account.
When I first was looking to change from paymenttech, after reading the various posts on this board, I gave Bill a call. He took a lot of time to explain to me how everything works. This type of support is rare these days (as anyone who has tried to get customer support from Yahoo Tech can attest to!) and highly appreciated.
I’ll follow up in a few months with a progress report. But so far everything has been great, and I’d encourage others, who like me put off changing, to go ahead and do it. Its very painless! And of course, it will save you money.

We have been with Bill Dumont for over a year.
He transfered us from our poor service based processor/bank in a flash! Everything worked 100%! Totally Fast & Painless! He even called to see if we needed any assistance!
You need a contact and strong customer service if you have a merchant account, the Worldnet Group (eMerchant) provides the BEST! (It took us 3 other processors / banks that screwed us on chargebacks, no responses for help or anytype of customer service!)

We used Paymentech in the past and were frustrated by the cost and the time (5-7 days) it took for funds to be deposited. This made cash flow management during peak sales periods very difficult.
I read about Bill Dumont and the Worldnet Group (eMerchant) on this board about a year and a half ago. I was impressed by the many positive reviews he and his company received. Among them was a lower cost, a dedication to high quality personal service and two-day turn around on deposits. I decided to him a call. To my surprise I actually reached Bill on the first ring! A nice change from the dreaded phone firewall so many companies use to avoid talking to the customer.
The transfer process went smoothly. We now enjoy great rates at a low cost with outstanding service.

Hello Everyone. I wanted to put my two cents in about Bill Dumont and Worldnetgroup. I have never dealt with a better merchant or person for that matter. He has always been there for me when I had questions and when I needed advise on my account. Whether you have a Yahoo Store or something else I would highly recommend him and his company. I don’t see myself ever doing merchant business with someone else.

After almost 1 year of using Bill Dumont’s Worldnetgroup/eMerchantDiscount.com service, I thought it was time to finally post my review.
I spent a lot of time researching merchant account providers & used ystoreforums to see the feedback from other merchants on their providers. It was the positive feedback on these forums that prompted me to email Bill with questions. My email was answered within an hour & my questions were answered. Bill then called me to explain his program in detail.
The account application form was easy to complete & my account was opened in 3 days. Since that time our deposits have always been deposited in 2 business days & all have been the correct amounts. All of our service charges have been charged exactly as explained to us before we opened our account & we have had no surprise service charges or fees.
Over the last year I have had to contact Bill on a couple of questions & have used email to contact him, my emails have all been answered within 1-2 hours.
We have only suffered one chargeback during this year & that was the result of a customer mistakenly disputing our charge as they forgot our company name. I should have called the merchant bank directly, but chose instead to call Bill regarding this chargeback. After explaining the details to Bill he told me that he would call the lady in charge of the chargeback division at the merchant bank & have her contact me. Again, within an hour, I received a phone call from the manager of the chargeback division, she told me that the problem had been taken care of & that the chargeback would be reversed.
It is rare for me to publicly place a review, but as I mentioned in the beginning of this review, it was this forum that provided me with feedback in choosing Worldnetgroup. Our merchant account is the heart of our business & we appreciate the good service that Bill has provided.

The service was really personal and consistent throughout. It was easy to get in touch to ask questions, and Bill always responded promptly and with great professionalism as well as genuine warmth. I’ve contacted him when his company was moving to another building and at the time just after he had surgery done. As always, he responded promptly and provided detailed information. This is one of the few services I have found online that has been 100% a good experience. I dont do squat for business. If there was ever a small fish worth ignoring, it would be me.

Bill Dumont gets it done. We switched almost 2 years ago and have been very pleased with Bill’s response to every issue. He has turned out to be one of the best vendors we have ever worked with.
One more satified customer recommending Bill & Company. It has been more than a year and we couldn’t be happier (OK, if credit card processing services was free we would be happier, but hey, Bill didn’t design the system .)
The rates are very low. The monies are deposited by the 2nd business day. The job of reconciling the deposits has gone from six hours per week, to just about 10 minutes a week.
We had an unexpected increase in sales one month last year. When we completed the paperwork for 1st National we had anticipated an increase, but not 600%, so the monies from some of the larger sales was held by 1st Nat.
We knew within 2 business days funds were being held. By the third business day, Bill and his crew had worked through the redtape with 1st Nat and our funds were on their way.
We can’t say enough good things about them. If you’re looking for a vendor who makes your credit card processing the easiest, least bothersome it can be for the fairest price – check them out.

I wanted to post a nice update on Bill’s service. I recently had a client who needed a combination of things, a merchant account and a way to take charges in the field, and he is not ‘handy’ with computers ????
With the help of Bill and crew, the paperwork was a breeze (and I can say that I would have struggled with it on my own…as I’m never sure on some of those questions), and they mentioned the ability of using a cell-phone ‘gadget’ for the client (he is a contractor, not an eCommerce client) so he could have the flexibility he needed.
The client already had Nextel, he did need to upgrade his phone, but he was ready to do that anyway and it didn’t cost him anything thru Nextel. By adding the Wirless ePay service he can now either run the charges thru his computer if he is in the office, or I can log in and run it for him…but better yet…he can now capture his payments while out in the field using his cell-phone and the wirelss cradle….smooth ???? ????
We’ve had awesome customer service, and they ‘listened’ to me on what the client needed to accomplish, and provided the solutions! I just wanted to post a ‘nice, happy-ending’ story….regardless if you are eCommerce or only B&M, they always seem to come thru.

after lots of problems w/ getting overbilled and experiencing ineffective “pass the buck” customer service with another merchant processor, we switched to bill dumont in late 2004. we are very glad to be working with bill. as with all large billing systems, we did have trouble with slight overbilling for the first 4 months or so on bill’s merchant processor, but he got all of the items refunded and the settings in the billing system corrected in a prompt and courteous manner. there will always be issues that come up once in a while when dealing with large billing systems, but bill actually is able to contact the appropriate people at the merchant processor to resolve issues, and we are never stuck making countless calls to random customer service people who aren’t able -or don’t care- to help. i do wish the online interface were a bit more robust, and there could be more verification services offered for international orders, but pricing and customer service are far and away the most important things we consider, and in pricing bill is super competitive and in customer service he is the best we have ever dealt with.

They had my Merchant Account setup extremely quick (I was shocked how quick and easy they made it). I also can’t express how impressed I am with the support you get. I’m almost always able to get a hold of a “real” person (one that knows what they are doing :-)) that is able to help me quickly and answer alot of the newbie questions I had with my merchant account. Oh and I wasn’t able to beat their rate structure!!

We have been working with Bill for about a year now this month. Our business has significantly grown in the first year in addition to a second site being added and now another Y-Store on the way.
Having never had a merchant account before and having lots of questions, Bill and Debbie took the time to answer all of my questions and ensure we understood everything in relation to our accounts / fee’s etc.
Over the past year as our sales have grown, I have received a couple of calls from Bill to inform me that he was lowering my fee’s because of the volume we achieved.
Credit card processing is not something I am interested in learning on a fulltime basis and am happy to have someone in my corner who I can trust to get the job done and watch out for us.
