Bill Dumont founded eMerchant in 2002 after spending 11 years in the wireless industry. eMerchant has become one of the nation’s leaders in providing merchant accounts for some of the largest online retailers. Before eMerchant Bill held the position as President of Worldnet Communications 1993-2002. At Worldnet, Bill’s specialty was supporting the mobile merchant which eventually led him into the bankcard business. Bill enjoys good food and wine. He also is a proud parent of two little ones, Miller and Monique.
Aaron Easton has a vast background in finance. His past experience includes retail banking, commercial loans, and financial planning. He is a proud graduate of the College of Business and Economics at California State University at Fullerton. He uses his experience in analytics every day at eMerchant. Aaron is happily married to his lovely wife and has a new baby daughter. Away from the business, he enjoys photography, sailing to Catalina and spending time with family and friends.
Director of Sales
Matthew Groth is an MBA graduate of Walsh University where he studied Business Management. Since, he has pursued his career in sales and sales management where he’s worked with companies of all sizes building strong and professional sales teams. Matthew is a results-driven, highly passionate and accomplished Sales Leader with over 20 years of versatile selling/leadership experience and go-to-market strategy. Matthew brings a process-oriented strategic mind with strengths in building sales models to accelerate growth. He resides in Irvine, California with his wife and daughter where he enjoys SCUBA diving and snowboarding and spending time with family.
Christopher Wade is an MBA graduate of the HULT International Business in London, England, where he studied finance. Furthermore, he earned his bachelors of science in business administration from the University of Arizona specializing in marketing. He has over 8+ years of underwriting and sales experience working with international insurance carriers and financial firms. Originally from Orange County, California, Chris enjoys sailing, fishing, and golf as his pastime hobbies.
Director of eCommerce
Mike Myers joined eMerchant in 2010 and comes with a Swiss-Army-like skillset as our eCommerce Manager. A veteran in the eCommerce space, Mike has been building websites since the 1990s. Before joining the eMerchant team, Mike worked at Buy.com’s incubator ThinkTank as well as Los Angeles’ eUniverse, the company behind MySpace. Mike brings exceptional Graphic Design expertise along with years of Online Marketing experience. Mike attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he studied Graphic Design. Before his eCommerce career began, Mike worked as a Graphic Artist in the Skateboard industry in which he still participates and showcases his artwork at many art shows.
Director of Marketing
Catherine Seda leads marketing and partnerships at eMerchant. She is a marketing strategist with more than 15 years building brands, teams and revenue. Her entrepreneurial spirit is backed by corporate and agency experience across diverse industries such as auto, wedding, retail, media, tech and e-commerce. Catherine is also a conference speaker and author of two search marketing books which have sold over 20,000 copies worldwide. She enjoys wine, writing, travel, and the 80’s.
Product and Solutions Strategist
Julie Guntrip has over 20 years of experience in marketing with a strong background in banking and financial services. She has worked in a wide variety of companies, such as General Electric, Bank of America and Live Nation, managing ecommerce products and services. In addition, she taught marketing and finance at the University of Phoenix for 14 years. When not at work, Julie can be found at the pool or the lacrosse field cheering on her two teenage daughters. She loves to travel with her family and is always planning an adventure.
Director of Client Services
Kimberly Waterhouse-Brown has over 25 years of experience in Client Services, sales and operations. She has worked for a variety of companies such as Nordstrom-Credit Card division, Sprint and Penny Saver to name a few of them. Kim has been consulting for startup and established organizations across various industries such as healthcare, digital advertising and e-commerce prior to joining eMerchant. Kim enjoys signing karaoke, watching her son play football and her daughter surf.
Dan Husband comes to eMerchant after 24 years in the wireless industry. Dan has extensive management experience not only in customer service, but in sales and operations as well. Dan’s belief in developing honest and good-natured relationships has benefited him greatly in the Payment Processing industry. Dan has lived near the beach for over 30 years in Orange County California, where he enjoys all the area has to offer: sun, surf, and especially bicycling.
Mariana Aguirre is the concierge for eMerchant. She joins us after a long and prosperous career in the hospitality industry imparting her polished customer service skills and attention to detail to our Customer Service Department. She believes in ensuring that each of our merchants feel just how important and valued they really are here at eMerchant. When not hard at work she enjoys spending time with her family traveling, and exploring all that beautiful southern California has to offer.
Ron Kennedy is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach and National University with a degree in Accounting. He has been a Controller and Manager of Accounting in the Aerospace, Construction and Action Sports industries. His professional experience is in accounting, financial planning, forecasting as well as human resources. When Ron isn’t crunching numbers, he enjoys watching his favorite sports teams, the Angels and Chargers. He and his wife have two sons.
Ted Royal comes to eMerchant after spending 30 years in the Wireless industry dating back to its early beginnings. He has management, sales, operations, and customer service backgrounds working for Fortune 500 companies as well as a vast background in start-up retail organizations. For the last 15 years, Ted held a position as a General Manager for AT&T and T-Mobile retail agencies. A father of three, Ted enjoys time with the family and is also an avid deep-sea fisherman.
Laureen Whelan is a graduate of Memphis State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Languages with a concentration in Spanish. An exceptional communicator, Laureen brings a wealth of Administrative excellence to the eMerchant team. Laureen’s prior roles include working as a Front Office Manager, Workers Compensation Specialist, and was most recently a valued Campus Supervisor for over 12 years. Laureen is the proud mother of her 21-year-old son. Outside of work, Laureen and her son love watching sports together. Laureen is an avid collector of Pez dispensers and enjoys going to swap meets and estate sales where she finds one-of-a-kind treasures that she expertly sells on eBay.
Darren Landie serves as General Counsel at eMerchant, bringing with him years of experience as both a private practitioner and House Counsel for national insurance company. Over the years Darren has also engaged in business litigation pertaining to a myriad of issues. At eMerchant Darren oversees compliance issues and commercial transactions. His services provide professional oversight of the company and its dealings leading to corporate stability at eMerchant. Darren Is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and he holds a Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School. Darren resides in Southern Orange County and enjoys spending time with his family.
